Values & Ethos

Hoyland Springwood is a warm, welcoming and inclusive school.  We recognise the importance of working with the whole family and strive to engage parents and carers in school life and their children’s learning.

As part of the Every Child Matter’s Academy Trust, we work to ensure that all children, irrespective of background or need, progress socially, emotionally and academically, and that any barriers to achievement are minimised as far as possible. We want all children and families to have high aspirations and for children to fulfil their potential.  We believe that our children need to understand their community at all levels – locally, regionally, nationally and globally.  We seek to widen children’s horizons and give them the skills to be an effective citizens of the world.
